Default Cruise control (still!)

First: please spare me the abuse and screams of "who needs a cruise control", because the answer is "I DO"!
For serious correspondents only then ...
Problem definitely in the cruise control module (proved, in the end, by swapping from my A6). Nothing obvious inside, and the relay is good.
Does anyone have a line on a used or cheap(er)replacement module. Hella 5GA 004 397-16
Audi 4DO 907 305?
Thanks.

Default Re: Should perhaps be Audi Part number 4B0 907 305??

Thanks for the followup:
No, it's definitely 4DO. Both my 96 and 98 have identical part numbers.
You are right: No question of buying this from Audi, so unless I can figure out what is wrong (and without a schematic), a used module is probably the best route. So far, though, I haven't found anyone on-line with anything like that part number.
