Default Cruising to awesome tunes. Just tooting my horn! (long)

Finally did my first modification last week. Added a Sony MDX-7900 Minidisc head unit. I just moved into the area so I was worried about finding a good place to get it installed and have it look decent (awkward size of stock head unit). I know I'm plugging here, but the guys I found were awesome! I found a place in Manassas (about an hour away form where I live) called New Sound. The owner could tell I was worried about damage to the car and keeping the interior look consistent. So he just smiled and showed me a binder of the work they had done. It was filled with pictures of Lamborginis, Porches, and Vipers. Well I was still a little skeptical (they were just pictures!) and he could tell. Then he kind of motioned me over and opened the door to the garage and said "This is one of our repeat customers". Sitting in the garage with two guys working on it was a '98 Ferrari F355 Spider. "Sold!" I said. The next day I got the unit installed and I have nothing but praise. It looks and sounds great... now I just have to get new speakers

Default also if you could post a pic I would be interested.... more!

I have a Sony MDXC-8900 minidisc head unit and also have a 10 disc ES Changer. I was interested in putting it in the A4 I am getting next week, but was of course very concerned about how it would look and also concerned about how it could be integrated with the climate control system, etc... can you provide pics and more info? it would really be appreciated, thanks!

Default I had the same experience a few years back...

I brought my car (previous to my Audi) in to have a new sound system put in. I was worried about suffering any damage during the install so the sales rep showed me a photo-album containing examples of past work. That calmed my fears a bit. Then a technician came into the showroom, and I got a glimpse into the service bay. I saw two of the cars they were working on: one was a Lotus Esprit and the other was a Ferrari. Let's just say that my car didn't run in that crowd and that my fears were dispelled. By the way, the sound was incredible, and I didn't have to spend $000's to get it.

If you're looking for a good install shop in the Boston area, send me a message.
