Can any one tell me how much they paid over dealer invoice in CT/NY area for a 1.8?<br>I looked at Quattro with Tip, cold-weather- sunroof and pleather and salesperson told me around 26K<p>Also, does the 1.8 have enough power...what other cars does it fall in line with?

In Danbury CT I paid $1000 over for a 1.8tQ. Dealer had to order mine (an early '99) so it wasn't a discount sitting on the lot. Power is OK with a stick, probably not with a<br>Tiptronic (until you chip it or upgrade the turbo). Think of a Nissan Sentra SE-R for<br>comparison, or maybe the old 4-banger 3-series BMW's. The good news is that you<br>can easily upgrade the power!<p>HTH!
