Currently K04'd with a Miltek Exhaust; considering MTM Stage 3. (another 12 hp, in theory) If I...

because essentilly all I'd be paying for is the software, ported manfold, modified cat, and
the difference between the exhausts. Plus, I won't have to go through the hassle of disconnecting/connecting oil and coolant lines. MTM would "subtract" the cost for the K04 and the 5 bar FPR from the kit price.
I know it's a lot of $ still. Just pondering the possibilities...

wait a sec, let me get this straight...
1. Replace 4 month old miltek exhaust with MTM exhaust. (eating ~4 bills in the process)
2. Replace your cat with the MTM modified cat (not terribly difficult, but sometimes the bolts snap and access is going to be tight)
3. Remove your manifold (major PITA, how can you get to it without diconnecting and removing the turbo?)
4. Replace it with the MTM ported manifold.
5. Change software.
Man there is no freaking way that I would do all of that for 12 hp. you are better of getting an electric fan kit, or lightening up your flywheel.
then again, if you enjoy the process and tinkering with things, then it could be a good thing to do...i do arithmetically unjustifiable crap like that all the time cause i like it. It just seems like a hell of alot of work for 12 hp.

In my experience, MTM is real b!tchy about handing out their software, unless
you've paid for all the other MTM pieces that go with the kit. Most tuners are (and understandably so)...but I'm still a little irked that they wouldn't upgrade me from Stage 1 to Stage 2, unless I had *their* exhaust.

We all need to consider what their curve looks like
12hp isnt much, but, if the MTM power comes on early, lasts longer, has more torque, it might be quicker than an extra peak 30hp.
Purley speculative.
Really need to compare the dyno charts, and the volume beneath. But then again, you cant trust most of the published dyno charts, as they get hacked, and all dynos read duifferently.
But, I do know that MTM always have strong torque.
