I'm a newbie when it comes to exhaust tuning. Before everyone tells me to use the search feature, I have. All the info was on 1.8t and 12v, I couldn't find any regarding this system on the 30v 2.8, hence I'm asking.

I just got a custom cat back system with Magnaflow center resonator and muffler installed with 2.5 piping yesterday. While the sound at idle is exactly what I wanted, once I hit the throttle it gets very loud between 1800-2500 rpm. In the cabin the noise is right below the point of which it becomes unbearable. Beyond that rpm it sounds like the stock system. Is there anyway to quiet down the sound at that rpm band and have give a little more "deep throat" at higher rpm?

Also, when I lift off the throttle to change gear or just occasionally, the system will produce a "pop" sound. Is this normal? Any way I can cure that?

Do not get it in a larger diameter but a longer length

heehee.. .just drive harder! and that pop is not a problem, normal.

and that is why the car back fires. If you add more back pressure you will even gain some tq since it is a NA car.
