Dark Blue (Europa)car: What color to paint calipers?
Been a good couple of weeks for the A4. Had sport springs and S4 struts installed (huge improvement over my non-sport)and just ordered ECS Slotted/Crossdrilled rotors and Mintex redbox pads for the front. I'm going to paint the calipers when I do the brakes, just need to decide on the color. I'm leaning towards silver with a few coats of clear over it. Any suggestions? What did other Europa/Santorin owners do?

i had silver calipers and I loved them
I'm gonna re-do them when I put on my new wheels. I'm debating on trying to find a dark blue hi temp paint and then put silver audi rings on them.

Did you clearcoat them?
I love your car. I was hoping you would come out to my place this summer when a bunch of us did snub mounts etc., but I think you got held up or something that day. I have almost the same car, but not as much modding yet. I'd be real interested in taking a ride in yours w/ the mods and correct K04 set-up. I still didn't get the software for mine.

I didn't clearcoat them, but they were pretty bright
I used high temp spray paint. They looked good for a while but the winter in upstate NY destroyed the finish. I'm going to redo them using one of the caliper paint kits such as foliatec. I'd def let you take the car for a spin whenever I'm back in NY (I'm in DC now for law school). Tho I'm having all kinds of problems with my chip and maf.

I had MAF problems too..
and I had to replace mine. I got a used one from a '99, works fine. A long archive search turned up several cases where the '97 MAF was not compatible with the K04. Someone even said AWE won't do a K04 kit on a '97 without a newer model MAF. I'm sure you heard all this before tho'

don't remember the actual recycler or price, and don't have the info here. I can look for it at home tonight if you'd like. It was much much cheaper than new, that I do remember. I think I may hae posted on it, I'll do a search.
