Hello all,

I currently have a 2001 1.8T on order with the following options:
-5 Spd
-Cold Weather
-Quattro Celebration
-Quattro Sport
-Bose
-Xenon
-ESP

Black w/ Ecru/Onyx interior.

I would really like to get the sport seats (I think), except I do not want the cloth interior. So, my question is: Do you think the dealer will install the 2.8 Leather Sport Seats for a fee? Ok.. let me make that question<b>s</b>. Does anyone think this would be worth it? Are there any problems with these seats being power and the 1.8T's not? Will the leather sport seats clash with the 1.8T's leatherette interior?

...would be just to order the sport seats in cloth, and buy aftermarket leather. A friend of mine did this, and it looks great. I think he used a company called Classic Soft Touch, and it cost about $1200 (including front and rear seats and door panel inserts). And yes, they work with the in-seat side airbags.

They will install leather seat covers. I was told about 1200 -1400.

The first was: "Will the dealer install the seats for a fee?" Later in the paragraph there were 3 more (summarized): "Is it worthwile?" "Is there a problem with the power?" & "Will they clash?"
