Default Dealer screw alert, dealer screw alert!!!!!! Help!

Recent I noticed a popping sound coming from my sunroof when I opened to the slant position (not the slide back position) and also noticed an increased amount of wind noise from the sunroof. I know that closing the shade reduces the noise but realy folks, we shouldn't have to comprimise.. WE'RE AUDI OWNERS for God's sake. This ain't no Honda!!! When I went to the dealer they told me, even with my super hoopty full warranty the sunroof wasn't covered......... Hmmmm, I guess the sunroof isn't an important component or it is prone to wear... Anyways, what is the cost to repair this problem (wind noise, popping, alignment), and what is he actual problem.. The dealer (Honda dealer)told me the whole sunroof had to be replaced. I'm dyin here. Thanks for any assistance!

The dealer isn't screwing you. Turn around and have a look.

Default About the "whole sunroof may have to be replaced" is false

I can tell you, on a MK3 golf no such things as parts for sunroof. Must buy whole thing, around $900.00 + labor.

Default Common problem covered by warranty...

It is covered by the warranty. Call Audi of America and complain about the experience at the dealer. I had the same thing happen to my A4 and it was fixed twice under warranty! There are parts to the sunroof. Audi4orce is not correct if he is saying their are no parts to it. The parts that break are the guide clips in the sunroof guide channel. When they break the sunroof still works but will make the popping sounds. Mine is broken for a third time. I think it is really a defect and so I no longer care to deal with it out of warranty. I heard they have to take the whole sunroof out to fix it.

Default Take it to an Audi dealer not Honda to diagnose the problem

They will be able to tell you if it qualifies for warranty coverage.
