I don't understand why you continued to drive off, if you couldn't get the car in gear in the first place.
Why not bring it to their attention immediately? Once you're off the lot, it's hard to prove that they are the ones that left the piece of wood there, etc. For all they know, some kid coulda stuffed it in there while you were parked, or perhaps even you yourself left it in there.
I hope you can find some resolution, though, that sucks.

if all else fails.
not sure if you're in MA or VA. but. take them to small claims court. report them to better business bureau and chamber of comerce. picket the dealer on saterdays, they'll love most of their new car customers seeing you dis the service dept. if you go to court get tech from dtm to go as witness, or at least get an affidavit. good luck, give 'um hell!

Well at first I thought the gear wouldn't go in because of the shifter..
they had to replace my cigarette lighter because it was stuck, and they did have to remove the center console to fix the wiring. I assumed it was an adjustment that had to be made on my short shifter...I know, my bad. Should have said it earlier.

i've had to go to the service manager before- be firm, but reasonable. i've never had to
threaten the Better Business Bureau, or small claims court, but that should do it!

i don't even know where you live. it only took me one day of picketting to cow dealer, not audi. my dealer seems to be abouve average from what i've heard here. dover auto world 603-742-1676

What we have to realize is it sad to say but once you buy the car and drive it off the lot that's when AOA & your dealer stops giving a **** about you. After this audi i will not buy another one i hope someone from AOA or From one of the dealership looks at this site and does something about there lack of respect for the people who feed them until many more fed up people like myself and others stop feeding your sorry asses. Sorry about that but i'm sick of them
