Default Dealership tune up....

I asked Audi service how much a full tune up would cost and tthey told me... $1000. Does this sound right? How hard is it to change the spark plugs and fuel injectors yourself? Im handy with all engines except german. Why do they have to make it so difficult?

Default What constitutes a "full tune up"?

As far as I can tell, you walked into the dealer and asked them how much money they would like from your wallet.

Default and why are you changing the fuel injectors?

These cars are not difficult to work on.

Here's what I would expect a dealer to charge for the following:
Oil change: $50
Plugs: $150
Wires: $150 (2.8 only)
Brake fluid flush: $150
Air filter + pollen filter: $125
Trans and diff fluids: $200

All of the above are easy DIY jobs. Trans fluid on an Automatic is a PITA though. May want to hand that off to the dealer.

Default Colorado..If you're close I'm dead serious

I did 2 tech articles on changing the tranny and rear diff fluid, oil change and plugs are a no brainer. The only thing I can't do is the injector cleaning. You'll have saved plenty to do that.
