Feel completely cheated out, ordered full Febi Bilstein control arm kits from oemeuro.com for 487 bucks (Mike at PureMS didn't have any), it came today, and surprise surprise! Its Meyle!
I'm mad!
On the sticker it says,
Art no. 116 050 0029/HD, does it mean heavy duty?
Is this any good? I remember, a lot of you are having problems with Meyle kits.
I had scheduled the maintainance for coming monday/tuesday, and I feel like I've been set up.
These guys don't provide any phone no. as well.<ul><li><a href="http://oemeuro.com/oemparts/index.php/cPath/43_96_164">http://oemeuro.com/oemparts/index.php/cPath/43_96_164</a</li></ul>

However, for others looking for a kit other than meyle, there is a Blau control arm kit at ebay, selling for 439 plus change...

Nothing wrong with stating the facts. If I were a prospective buyer of parts, especially control arms, I sure would like to know if someone's pulling a bait-and-switch. Lack of a contact phone number on the site makes it seem even more sketchy.

I have received the wrong parts or damaged parts from several of the common vendors suggested on the board. They have all stepped up and dealt with the problems.

Apparently, Febi parts ran out, so they sent Meyle instead, didn't bother to inform me, so he apologized. I also had him promise to change the vendor to Meyle in the web page.
He was willing to take the parts back, but Bilstein parts are not coming anytime soon, and I'm scheduled at a local shop to put them+steering rack in this coming monday & tuesday.
He's also willing to take off 40 bucks bcos of this mishap, but my main concern is, any of us spending hard earned money (1k in this case, parts+labor) has a right to know what he/she is getting. So, I'm not at all sorry for "dragging this into the forum".
I'll end this on a positive note--the guy called me and apologized, seemed like a nice guy, so I forgive him, and probably consider him for future parts.
Thanks for listening to me, you guys make the audi forum great!
