Deciding on tires, almost final decision
How many miles are people getting with the falken 451's? The Kumho Ecsta 712 are getting good reviews as well, but I need something with a better treadwear.

have em, used to love em...
until i found out exactly how weak their sidewalls are. hit a kind of bad pot hole and split the side wall open. almost all the way from rim to tread. only going like 35mph or so

wow... did the pothole have a knife in it?
i have a hard time believing any tire could be <i>that</i> weak. i hit a huge pothole going 80 and the rim was put out of commission, but the tire was fine. that was a potenza re730, but still.. i don't believe the es100 is that weak.
