Apparently, G12+ has been discontinued, though - can anyone confirm this?
When I asked Carson about G12+, he told me he ships regular G12.

Good points- It protects metal the fastest. It has been proven to work for the last 70 years. It isn't corrosive if an air pocket develops.
Bad points- It tastes good(unless made disgusting) so kids and animals liked to get nerve damage or dead from drinking it. The chemical packages in it don't last as long as long life coolants so it needs changed more and isn't as environmentally friendly.
Personal observation- I've replaced countless plastic flanges on VW/Audi cars since the new coolant. I've only replaced 2 on the older cars. The old stuff worked, but in order to show a car being lower maintenance, coolant had to change to a longer interval.
Dexcool and similar is junk. GM got sued over that trash, and yet other companies think they can make it work.

So I cant comment on much besides the Audi specified fluids.
Sure, things have come along way in 20 years (as they should), but I'll stick to the factory correct coolant. I use other brake fluid and oil, but for the coolant Ive never had a problem with the factory stuff.
Id be open to exploring other coolants for older Audi's though.
