Delta/Bose, no FM reception above 96.9, any suggestions?

Just purchaced a '97 2.8Qm (69k) with the delta/BOSE stereo. FM reception is fine up to 96.9, but above that all frequencies recieve the same station. Dealer says 'that's covered under Audi Assurance warrenty, bring it right in'. But I don't really have the time and each Audi Assurance warrenty visit is $50.
Two people I've talked to say the A4 has two antennas and that maybe one has become disconnected. Two antennas for AM/FM would make sense, but why would there be one FM antenna for 96.9? If it is an antenna connection problem I really don't want to pay $50 for a tech to plug in a connector.
Has anyone had a similar problem or know the location of any antenna lead connections besides those on the back of the radio? Already checked the archives, couldn't find this problem listed.
TIA

Check the rear window for cuts etc. on the antenna grid. Use a magnifyer on a sunny day.
The dimmensions of the rear window are right in the wavelength of FM transmission. A break could seriously sap signal strength when the resonance is altered. There are kits to repair defroster grids which should work on antennas as its a high conductive silver bearing paint.
You say above all freqs above 96.9 are in one station? Thats a PLL synth. malfunction. Tuner problems here as the synth cannot lock on higher freqs. Spend the $50.00 and get a new head unit.
