Default Delta radio

I've got a 1997 A4Q 2.8 with a Delta stereo. There's no balance control. Whattup with that? Anyone have any input?

Default Odds are there is...you just haven't found it yet.

Is there a "mode" button or some kind of function button you can cycle through to adjust bass, treble, fader, balance?

Default Yup, apparently there isn't...

as per TiKan's specs below.

My radio has balance control, but in 3 years of ownership, I never actually had the need to adjust it.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ibiblio.org/tkan/audi/radios/radios.html">http://www.ibiblio.org/tkan/audi/radios/radios.html</a</li></ul>

Default That's the first thing I play with when I get into a new car...

When I pick up a loaner at the dealer, the first thing I adjust is bass/treble/fade/balance...then the mirrors and seats. If it doesn't have balance, I send the loaner back! :-P

I've poured through the manual, listened to the cassette tape, and tried everything I could think of. No joy.

Default You'll get past it. Enjoy the boomy bass out of the rear deck speakers too.

There is a tech article on how to replace the rear "subs" if it really bothers you. There is a guy who hangs in the audio forum named Jeff Bipes who makes adapters so you can plug an ipod or mp3 or whatever into your cd changer cable. I plug my ipod in, set the ipod to bass reducer, and then leave the bass in the middle. It eliminates boominess and allows for some rumble @ higher volume.

Enjoy the new ride.
