So I drive my sisters 97 A4 quite frequently lately..and now with an iTrip hooked up(never did this before) the radio whines likes an angry ***** until the slushbox shifts. The only reason it gets quiet isnt because it went away, just lower rpms...So any stereo oriented or familiar person would say ground issue. But, I know nothing about this Delta radio but have heard of issues...but the radio has never been touched by us. Is this "whine Im talking about a normal "sign" of it starting to kick the bucket?

So I returned the Itrip and then tried a Belkin unit which was a little better but neither were worth the price of admission.
I figured it was something to do with the embedded window radio antenna and went a different route.
IMHO the cassette adapter was actually better but still crap.
Rip out the Delta and install a Concert I and a DICE, Blitzsafe or GROM adapter.
