In short, it depends on what product you're referring to when you say "polish". With some products, Swirl Remover and Polish become redundant steps, with other "polishes", the swirl remover should be done first, then the polish.
So, do you know what products you are using, or are you completely unsure of what you're doing?

polish will clean the surface of contaimants and leave it prepped for wax. Wax is the last step, a sealant.
polish will also work to remove light swirls. Dedicated swirl remover is likely a more aggressive cut than polish, so polish first and see if the paint looks good, if it does, then proceed to wax. If not, then hit it with swirl remover, then wax.

swirl marks were showing up after about 2.5years, i washed with a drop of dawn to strip old wax, washed with a reg. car wash soap, then 3m IHG'd (2 coats) and finally one coat blitz 1g wax...took me a few hours, but the result was well worth it!
then again it was a black car, and even though it wasn't heavily swirled...it was swirled enough to notice...if i had any other color i'm sure you wouldn't have even noticed!

leaving some thin circular lines through the clearcoat that the last session of polishing with 3M didn't remove. So i bought the mothers swirl and scratch remover product in hopes of helping the paint recover.

Use the Swirl Remover, evaluate.
If the scratches are still there, I would highly recommend taking it to a pro-detailer if you want the scratches gone.
If you are satisfied after the swirl removal, apply IHG, then wax.
Done!

so there was no point in tuning till it went in, since the stock clutch wouldn't hold the power. I briefly had it at 9psi and it was every bit as fast as my T28 A4 used to be ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
So ill then i am running 7psi mechanical boost. Then i need to break in the new clutch. Once it is broken in, then me and Skabaru will shoot to tune for 13psi in February or so.
