I had mine changed at around 80-85k and there was no difference

I never change the fuel filter. Too great of a chance of crude

getting in the fuel line. Besides, with the huge filters that they put on cars today, the car will wear out before the filter clogs up. I've never heard of a car starved for fuel from a clogged big inline filter.

BTW, when you remove a fuel filter its a good idea to cut it open and see actually how much gunk is trapped inside.
