Default did some searching.... wheel liners/vents for turbo and intercooler

ok, now some of you may remember about me asking if i should drill a hole in my headlight so i can have air blowing on the outside of the turbo... to keep it cooler...

most people said no, it wont really help that much

then i thought, since im missing the driver's side lower grille (in front of intercooler), i should make a custom vent to vent the air right into it.

so i did some searching, seems s4 wheel liner is good idea for me, but do i have to cut and solder it to fit it onto my car? or can i just cut off the extra?

was also thinking about ussing some kind of tubes that ran to the front, that i could vent air around the turbo better or to the intercooler...

ideas? opinions? hole in OLD NON-PROJECTOR headlight still not worth it?

I thought S4 wheel liners just went right on without cutting.

Default I understand and I am a skinflint too so I am searching high and low..

...I may end up fabbing it myself after I get to see one in person and do some meaurements.

I say no to your headlight mod if you are intent in projecting a stock appearance.

Default yea, i want to keep stock appearance

i love modded look, but i think sleeper is way to go for me... if i ever race a modded civic, and a cop see's, hopefully he'd go for the one who looks like he wants to race

i also find it to be a better feeling beating someone when they dont expect me to be quick

raced a modded civic 5 or more times, he wouldnt give up. asked if i would turn around and go againg. finally asked my engine size, told him 1.8... he said "no... can't be"

i said yep, 1.8t. he said "ohhh turbo, that's why"

then my friend asked "what are the gauges for (looking at 3 guages on Apillar)?"

"umm... air fuel"

mods i want - sport suspension, 17" celebration wheels, new turbo, lsd.... stuff that wont look different

Default I agree with the stealth look, works almost all the time..

..be careful on the street though.

There was a big manslaughter/racing case here in SoCal a few years ago that was really bad.

They went as far as to go and get evidence that the drivers go to tracks, have modded cars, etc and used that to convict.

I was and still am shopping for an S4 and will probably give this car to my Wife or Daughter so I have to keep it easily drivable.

I like your list of future mods.
