There is a guy that posted an add on our local craigslist, I have a 99 A4 with 2.8L V-6, his is a 2001 A4 with V-6, can i get some motor parts of his and put on mine?

Yeah most of the parts will transfer over, motor parts anyway. Here is a suggestion, just look up the part you want on any parts site, then look it up for the 2001 and see if it gives you the same part number. If it does... you are good to go. As far as upgrades you'd have to explain what you have in mind before i can give any thoughts on those parts.

All iam going for is the throttle body and some other misc parts, but I checked online a little bit and for the most part they will transfer over

Throttle body is DBC in 99 and DBW in 2001. Will not interchange.

I'm looking for an ATQ long block if this thing is near CT.

motor is on northern california, dont know if it is ATQ long block or not, but that sucks about the throttle body, I need a throttle body but dont want to spend 300 bucks on a new one, I guess i will have to keep searching, anyone got a throttle body????
