i've been to quite a few places in search of a bulb for the INNER taillight on my 97. half the a4's i see have just the end lights (big bulbs) fuctional now, but the ones on the inside end are little bulbs i think labelled w2w? the stamp is worn out and illegible.

i am not close to a dealer, and need to find out what the heck they are.

also, does anyone have upgraded bulbs for the back end or am i pushing it? (like led's in place of bulbs, or a bit brighter?)

I bought some and they were dim. like, so dim that I could barely see them. Skip those. And for the lights, I had that same problem until I noticed that I was looking for the wrong bulb. Theres only two kinds of bulbs for taillights in most cars that I have found. Ones with little nubs on each side and then others that just have a different connector on the bottom. I found the bulbs at a gas station. go to autozone or something. They will have the right name of the bulb for you. Just dont buy it there because they'll charge you like 5 bucks for two of them. go to the nearest gas station and get them for a dollar.
