Christmas night leaving a party, I turned on the Bose system and the display had red pixels turned on in weird places. The FM/AM station data was messed up with extra/missing pixels. The "C" for the "CD" text is missing entirely.
Has this happened to anyone else? The car was bought in July and this is the coldest it has been so far (around 18F). I normally garage the car but it was outside while we were visiting for about 6 hours. Is it related to the cold? I am bringing it in for 6 month service on 1/5 but hope I don't have to have head unit replaced.
Otherwise Happy holidays to A4 members...

I experienced the same problem with mine (5 times in 3 months). I had the version 3 head unit and the dealer swapped it with a version 2 head unit. (head unit version displayed by holding down #2 button, i think, while turning on the radio) I have only had the pixel drop problem once in 6 months. I don't want the dealer ripping apart my dash again to replace it with another defective unit. This CA car hasn't seen temps much below 40F yet.

Was about 22F this morning. The "C" in CD was missing and some of the track #'s were screwed up. Funny, it was down to about 10F each of the previous two nights and the unit was fine. I'm due for 10K service and will mention to the service mgr.

...but the new one does it too! Seems to be a standard quirk. This question came up before and someone suggested to turn the car off and on again. When it has I happened and I have done this, the display corrects itself. Dealer had no explanation when the replaced the original unit.
