Default diverter valve Location 99.5 A4 Avant 1.8T Q

I know kick me on this one, but all the damm sites I checked out all show an Audi TT or the 2.8 model. Even the book shows the 2.8 engine...

So where is the location of the diverter valve on a 99.5 Avant 1.8T Q, I was going to upgrade last weekend and I looked and looked and looked and damm if I could find the thing...

Thanks

Dilbertic

Default i dunno if it's the same as the 99.5 1.8tq sedan, but if so i can tell you where mine is

it's on the passenger side, near the front... you need to take off the belly pan. you'll see the diverter valve with three hoses going into it. one hose is tiny, that's the vacuum line, and the other two are bigger. i have a few pictures in my picposter of what it looks like, though it doesn't tell you much about where it is. but once again, it's in the front on the passenger side. pretty easy to spot.

Thank Much, I will give it a shot Tuesday and see if I can change it out myself or have the shop guys change it when I take it in for an oil change

Default you should change bpv and oil yourself, save some money

they're easy to do, just make sure that you get new clamps for the bpv. two of the three current clamps are one-time-use only clamps.

Look like you have to take off the shield under the car to get at it then...

Thanks for the heads up on the clamps, that would have nailed me..

Thanks Much

Default Diverter Valve and CAI Install

I know this forum is old but I figured I would give it a shot. I plan installing a Carbonio CAI and my new APR R1 diverter. Is it possible to pull stock airbox and replace OEM diverter valve from above? Or is it necessary to go from underneath.
