DMU Gearbox + G38 sensor 1997 A4 1.8
My DMU Gearbox is throwing a G38 sensor issue. Box will not go into 4th gear and only changes up at around 4000 rpm. I have replaced filter and fluid. I've been searching around and think that I've found the part (only in the US, but they will ship to the UK).
Firstly does anyone know the correct VAG part number so that I might have more luck looking for the part in the UK.
Secondly I need to be sure that I order the correct part. If I understand correctly the G38 sensor is internal to the box and requires the pan removing to fit, is this correct for the DMU model?
Has anyone done this job and are there any problems to look out for?
