Default i get annoyed with people assuming my car was bought for me by mommy and daddy.

i wouldn't say i get "dirty" looks, just people look surprised when they see a 20 y/o get out of an Audi.

Default I love that people think this. It'll get even worse I'm sure once the allroad comes in, because

not only is it less expensive than people think, I got a really good deal on mine, meaning I will've paid way less than people think.

Default good work, now start saving for retirement

I had to help pay the bills when I worked summers. Certainly you weren't handed the car like some of the people I went to school with but it still comes back to your parents living well enough for you to own a car like that. I'm not judging you but you can understand why most people assume the car was a gift from your parents, which does tend to **** one off. You will be the same way some day. Only one kid in my school who had a decent car bought it himself. My car was a 1976 Audi Fox fully loaded with 185,000 miles on it. I still have the odometer sitting on a shelf showing over 230K before a blown motor sent it to the yard.

Default My parents bought my car and I'm not ashamed to admit it but...

the kind of area I live in, most of the kids at school have much nicer cars. There are 2 S4's at my school 4 A4's one kitted out, a TON of brand new 323-325-330's, a CL500 with 19's and a kit, 2 M3's, the Jetta Wagon off of last month's Eurotuner cover, a Z4,Z8,Hummer H2 and a TON of Escalades Yukons and giant SUV's. It would be cool if most of the people at my school weren't such *******s enclosed in their little bubble. But the M3/Hummer guy and the M3/Jetta Wagon/Z4/Z8 guy are both really nice.
