.....At a normal APR of like 6% for good credit (don't come back with the bologna that young people don't have credit...blah, blah....it's not hard to get a cosigner), it's about $20 for every $1000. A $15,000 will run you about $300 a month. That's not that much, considering what you are buying. A lot of people, however, don't have a mortgage payment, a wife who they knocked up when they were 14, and tons of bills. I work at an automotive supplier and I run the night shift (so needless to say, the employees..ahem...press operators, are not necessarily from IVY league schools). Uninformed people will give uninformed answers. You happen to know more, just deal with it and write those people off with the drive-thru attendant that wants to hand you four cups of pop without the cup holder, when she can see plain as day that you are the only one in the car. That's my rant...and I never said it was good or interesting!
