Default Bumped by lady in NoVA traffic while she was combing her hair...

Just to put in my recent story, I was stuck in traffic in Northern VA's/DC famous jams. We were inching along, I had my gear in 1st and the clutch in... letting go to roll forward when I suddenly felt a jerking.... I thought I stalled but my RPMs were a-ok, and I looked up to my rear view mirror only to see a lady in her higher 40s with a saturn combing her hair and resting on my bumper. No damage worth while here to jam up the 4th lane about... there is a mark her plate made but it will come out. She didn't even know she bumped me...

Default Come close number of times

Have to make a left on a 4-lane non-divided highway into street I live on. Traffic generally doing 50+ in a 40 MPH zone. Generally, have eyes focused in two directions; left on oncoming traffic, right in rear view mirror to make sure numnuts coming up behind me see that I'm stopped with left turn signal on.

Once guy never saw me stopped. I realized he was going to rear-end me if I didn't skedaddle. Floored the gas and popped the clutch and got away as fast as I could (was my '76 Porsche 911S. Just before this he saw me, nailed his brakes, and went into a 4-wheel sideways skid (SUV in days before ABS).

Have had several other similar incidents, but never one that close.

Default Yes, 13 days after I got it...

only bent the exhaust and damaged the paint on the bumper, you should have seen the other car though. My car popped up into the air when he hit, and slid back down the front of his pulling the front off the car (an Audi A6).
