Do I buy a new tranny or rebuild, and NO I am not under warranty

so far for the tranny its going to cost between 2200 and 2700 just for the tranny, here in Baltimore. Can you guys help me out; as I just got engaged and the ring hurt my pockets. What do I do?

Could also look at salvage yards...

There is a webb site (can't think of the name) that has a finder servive. Any garage may also be able to locate the transmission you need.
