Do I get the 1.8T with a chip or the 2.8? more....

I'm sure that you have all had this conversation too many times to remmeber but some advice would be great considering I just crashed my 98se maxima and i am now definately going to get an A4 its just a question of which one. thanks

The 1.8T n the 2.8 are totally different engine. The first step is to test drive the 2. My feeling is that u will probably like the 2.8 more if ur maxima was a V6.
One more thing to note is if you are trying to save the buck, a few hundred for the chip doesnt necessary save you the few 1000s for the 2.8!

If you don't mind doing a little in upgrades (chipping, maybe exhaust and turbo), then get the 1.8.
I used to have a 2.8 and, unless you want to blow $5000 to get a supercharger, you are stuck. The performance it comes with is the performance it will have forever.
With the 1.8, there are a lot more possibilities.
