Default Do I have the correct replacement control arm?

Hey,

I need to replace the left (driver's side) upper front control arm because the ball joint it worn. The part number is 8E0 407 505A. When I compare the new arm to the existing arm, it doesn't match. The existing arm is pretty straight, the new arm has a curve to it.

Here's a photo of the two arms next to each other.</a>

I'd appreciate it very much if anyone can confirm that the new arm is correct.

Default Thanks, whats the correct part number?

The number on this arm is 8E0 407 505 A.

The dude at Clair told me that this one is the latest revision, previously it was 505 H.

Thanks.

Default Clair Parts claims its the right part #, confirmation?

According to Clair, this part supersedes the previous control arm (8D0-407-505-H). The end points do match up, however, why would Audi change the shape of the arm itself. Can anyone confirm?
