Do I need to ground my CD Changer (Panasonic 610)?
Just installed my new Panasonic 6 disc changer, (Panasonic 610). This new model replaces the discontinued 601. The changer shipped from Autotoys with a PIE adaptor and everything works great. However, some people mentioned grounding the changer to a sheet metal screw. Why? Is it necessary?

Yes, you should...
otherwise you might have some noise problems. If you used a metal bracket to install it you might be fine as you are. I would just add a star washer under one of the screws from the deck to the bracket, and one under one of the screws from the bracket to the car frame to make sure it stays a good connection though.

I did
I drilled a small hole in a local piece of metal and used a sheet metal screw and star lock washer to ground. Works great.
On another subject: My adaptor came loose from the wiring harness and I was getting dropouts in the music. I had to tape the two together.
