About 2 months ago, i took my car to the stealership to get the lowers control arms looked at for the recall. They said the lowers were fine and that my tierods were very loose and should be changed. I haven't changed them yet, but i am going to. Also, there is a squeak coming from both left and right sides. I believe it is my uppoer control arms??

if it squeaks probably the control arms.
Order the heavy duty tie rods from ECStuning instead of the stock ones.
Replace the tie rods first, control arms get expensive tie rods are relatively cheap in comparison.
Good Luck!

My tie rod ends were shot, especially the passenger side one. It did not cause any noise, but the steering was noticeably inaccurate. Tie rod ends are easily replaced. You need only only one new bolt, one pinch bolt and its nut. No special tools are required. Well, a torque wrench is a good idea. And you should get an alignment done, or at least get the toe checked.
Jack up the car and grab the wheel while looking at the tie rod end joints. If there's any play to be seen o felt, the tie rod ends have to be replaced. If you see a torn or cracked rubber booton one of the two joints, you need to replace the tie rod end, too.
