Default Do most people use clear bulbs with there clear corners?

I have clear corners from LLtek and they look okay buy you still see some yellow and of course when the lights are on you only see yellow, but in the pictures most peoples seem whiter looking. Are the Bosch that much better or are most putting in white bulbs? Are white bulbs illegal?
thanks for the help
James

Default I've got Bosch. From the side they look white. Head on the amber bulbs are visible.

And yeah, I think technically white bulbs are illegal (not to mention, not as contrasting).

Default My LLtek ones look good from the side too, but head on I see the yellow.

The BMW clear outs look very good. Why can't they make good ones for the A4?

Default Maybe harder to find, but . . .

Hey James,
It's not a Bosch or Valeo difference. It's simply the viewing angle. If you have an amber bulb in there, it will look amber from straight ahead.
I installed my clear corners the first night I got my car, and tried out both clear and yellow bulbs. The clear bulbs look great, but not as functional as turn signals. So I kept the yellow bulbs in there until I found these 1157A bulbs at my local Home Hardware. Note these are 1157"A" not 1157"NA". I didn't even know these were available, but they are a lighter shade of yellow. A true yellow colour instead of the stock "orange" look. Looking straight ahead, they reflect a sort of "champagne" colour. Or as my little sister puts it, a "light beer" colour. :-) They look very nice, and definately give my car a unique look. Also, they are perfectly legal everywhere.
I've seen aftermarket bulbs in yellow selling for $10 or more a set, so they are out there. I'm just lucky I found these at Home Hardware for $2.50 cnd a set. They only had two sets, I took both. :-)

James Wu
A4 Club of Vancouver
1998 Black/Onyx 1.8tqa

A4 Club of Vancouver
