...who are allowed to drive my cars. Basically, what I've done is told these people that they are always welcome, if they need a car. The others have never been invited to borrow, so it wouldn't shock them if I said no. However, in a pinch, I would allow others, but with limits. I think my duty to my friends is to trust them. If I don't trust my friends, then they shouldn't be my friends. Likewise, if I don't let them borrow my car, then I expect that they will respect that and if they don't, then too bad!
Anyway, if you didn't feel comfortable loaning out your car, then you did the right thing and your friend should respect your decision.<p>Charles
