Default Does anybody know a solution that can take off the orange on the turn signal bulbs?

I live in the us and thats illegal, if i bought clear bulbs the cops would pull me over, so i want to take it off and then if i get pulled over, just say they wore off, any ideas on what could take it off w/o burning the light? Thanks

Default seems a little extreme. my guess is thats a fix it ticket.

buy some orange bulbs and some orange relective tape, and if you get pulled over offer to swap out right there our appl the orange reflective tape.

Default id try paint thinner, maybe goo gone, or simply rubbing alcohol.

i would think if you do that tho the bulbs will flash clear. rather then if you bought the clear ones that flash orange.

Default Well because us cops suck around here, they'll make me take it off ...

to look at it, and if they see it clean they'll know, but if there is a little residue they'll let it slide, a few buddies have given me info and the little bit of residue, has worked for them.

Default why not clip the parking light bulbs?

There should be three wires going to the turn signal holder. One is brown, or ground. The other two should be of differing thickness. The thinner wire is for the parking lights, which are on whenever you have the lights at the first or second detent. The second, thicker wire is for the turn signals, which only flash. If you cut the thinner wire, the orange bulbs will only light when you are turning.

This is of course most useful when you are wiring up city lights, but is probably a more simple solution than destroying bulbs.
