Default Does anyone actually have a Nitrous kit on a Ko3 and larger turboed 1.8T A4?

I was just wondering if any of you actually have a nitrous kit on you 1.8T and if you do what kit are you using?

Also, can the stock block/internals take Nitrous or do you have to some other upgrades to ensure the Nitrous wont cause any problems?

The reason I ask this is because I have herd of some of VW guys running Nitrous kits in their 1.8T cars withouth any problems. And if this is the case it might be somthing I want to do because it is on the cheaper side and give a nice "bang for the buc".

Anywasy any info on this topic you guys can give me would be a big help.

Thanks

Default All those sponsors in your sig... pes AND apr?

ummmm...

Typically nitrous is frowned upon here. How about a $400 chip from GIAC or APR?

Default Personally I don't know a whole lot about Nitrous.

I do know though that if you do it wrong it can be very very bad for your car... and that many of the cheaper installations are wrong. I'd look into a k04 kit or perhaps putting together a custom turbo kit.

Default Yeah I know its easy to have problems with it thats why I am looking for somone that has done it

I was thinking about maby doing the Nitrous kit for now since I dont got 4grand lying around for a turbo kit. Then I will just put the nitrous on for now and save up for a custom turbo kit later.

Default I'm interested also

If anyone gets back to you on ths or you find out, outside of AW, I would like to know. I had a 97 Honda Prelude running NOS and it is awesome. As long as you have safety measures in place so that Nitrous will only kick in at WOT, then you will be safe. The nitous kits of past that were able to inject immediately or "right off the line" were dangerous because it caused detonation, and BOOM, no more engine.
