Default Question...

Was the gauge mounted upside down in the pod, as in... you had to mount the plastic vent unit upside down to make it fit right?

Default Not surprising for the material used...

I understand the housing is "pig iron", meaning unquenched metal. It's about as cheap of metal that you can find. Granted, that's not a bad thing if you compare it to plastic. With an injection molded plastic piece you'd get a flimsy, faux looking pod like everyone else uses. The APR version is sweet because it is beefy and has the proper color hue; it fits right in and it's quality. Now for the downside. They probably went this route becuase tooling for injected plastic is astronomically expensive. Castings are cheaper. While it might look good, the quality batch to batch will vary significantly. What I'm saying is that your pod if completely fcked as a result of poor metal properties. Don't blame it on APR's design, blame it on the foundry (probably from overseas) that cast the POS. Call APR and get it replaced. They're a good company and should stand behind their product.

Default Thanks

While I'm not happy about my gauge, I can at least understand the holiday weekend.
