does anyone have just lovering springs and stock shocks???
how does it feel? im thinking of just getting some h&r sports springs for my a4 1.8t. i have the sport package and i want to know if i will notice a big difference in the ride??? help me out... later yager

I don't recommend it.
These cars are a minimum going on 6 years old. With that kind of age and mileage the shocks are sure to need replacing even without considering the lowering springs you're thinking about.
Do it right the first time and get springs and shocks together. You'll save time, money, and a lot of hassles in the long run.

it's not that bad ... but still not recommended
the springs will cause the shocks to wear out prematurely.
Your best bet is to replace springs/shocks at the same time, considering you are in there anyways

DONT DO IT...someone put H&R race on stocks before i bought the car, and i rode worse then a FOR
i been shopping around bliestien shocks (sport) were going for $480, springs for $200, chepest coilovers i saw were $1050, for Tein or H&R
