Does anyone have a pinout for the CD changer plug
I am after a pinout of the cD changer plug in the trunk.
I would like to fit a MP3 player there, so I need to fool the Concert head unit into thinking there is a Cd changer present and then tap into the RCA lines.
I am aware that there is a lead available from Autotoys etc - but I can't find anyone that ships to the UK. Does anyone know what is in the lead that fools the head unit - doesn't look like there can be much to it - maybe it just shorts 2 pins together?
Thanks
Jim.

Not possible in the way you think...
I'll assume you have the 13-pin DIN connector/changer cable.
When you plug the CD changer into this cable, it sends a signal via 3 wires of the cable to the H/U.
There is a certain "protocol" on this signal.
It's comprised of a set clock frequency, and a '+' signal, and a '-' signal.
The Blitz Adapter from Autotoys has a small 8-pin micro-controller in it, that has this "protocol" code embeded in it.
This is the only way you can "fool" the H/U into thinking the CD changer is present.
You can buy a CD changer to get this same result, and then use a relay to A/B the RCA inputs.
I have done this mod. to some 10 different Audi's in this way.
I personally use the Blitz adapter.
Sorry you can't get one in the UK.
