does anyone here have a ride with lowered springs with stock shocks?

You'll actually have a pretty comfortable ride
as opposed to getting the aftermarket shocks AND springs, but you'll still get some of the wavy feeling associated with your stock set-up. Of course your handling will be a better as well. My brother did it on his Integra, and his ride is more confortable than mine's, but it's floaty. Teamishun has it on his A4 and it's also more comfortable than mine's, but his ride, as he'll admit, is a bit floaty -- shocks are his next mod I would say.
How long your shocks will last is another question. But, I say, if you're changing your springs why not just do the shocks with it since you'll have to do it all over again if and when you decide to get shocks.
