My program goes into a loop whem a numeric input is entered into a non-numeric field, or when you input a non-numeric input into a numeric field. Please help me out. I don't know C++... but I've had a little experienve with VB6. Nowhere near the same thing... but it seems like you should be able to detect numerics and non-numerics.

for college....Plus the professor is not help at all he expects you to know it all...I have work on this program for over 2 weeks non stop and cant fix it...

you can use stringstreams and peek() to look at the first character, if it is numeric -> do something, if it is a char -> do something else.
