Default Haldex is TT quattro and VW 4 motion.. Torsen is Passat/A4/Audi

Technically, Passats with AWD are Quattro, and TTs with AWD are 4 motion

Default i know it's not the same, hence one car has the haldex and one has the torson....

i knew the TT had haldex too, but he was talking about the A4 quattro.... not the TT quattro...

Default A4 and Passat = torsen =25% to each wheel. TT and Golf = Haldex = most power to back wheels, and

a little to the front wheels, to induce oversteer.

Similar to the Porsche AWD system.

Default You just said in your post that Haldex is TT....

and VW 4 motion but you also said Torsen is Passat/a4/audi. Isn't Passat the 4 motion?

Default Easy...

Torsen is the system used on fore/aft engine mounted AWD cars from Audi and VW (A4/A6/A8 and Passat) Haldex is the system used on transverse engine mounted AWD from the same (TT, Golf).

Quattro is the audi brand name for AWD and 4motion is the brand name for AWD by VW.

Default the TT is haldex... their quattro system is different from A4's quattro system...

4motion and TT's both use Haldex..... Passat and A4's (and all the other Quattro's but the TT) use Torsen.... Audigirl and I had it right.. the i don't know what the other people are talking about
