I live in Florida. Front License plates are not used here but my stupid dealer put the bracket and the "dealer plate" on my german buddy anyway. I have heard that the bracket leaves fairly major scars on the paint so I am opting for the next best thing. Does anybody know where I can find a front license plate with possibly the four ringed audi logo (hopefully metal or steel). I might as well make the best of the stupid front plate. I have seen car logo plates on lots of cars with front plates where I live. I HATE the fact that dealers feel it is "right" put the STUPID front plate bracked on in a stat e where it is not required by law!

I got one at Greenfield Imported car parts for the same reason. It's made of 1/4" gloss black plastic with engraved chrome Audi rings. Dealer did the same thing to me. The salesman even wrote down that I only had one plate but setup drilled anyways $#@%. The plate does look good though if that's any consolation. I posted their URL. I've had good luck with these guys. Get a K&N replacement filter too. Made some improvement.

http://www.gicp.com/</a

When I went to pick up my A4 in 1996, I was lead into the shop to see it up on the rack and watched the tech drill the second hole for the front license plate before I could do anything about it.

I had no plate at delivery. Then, at 5k mechanic found front plate
holder in the trunk, he said he mounted it for me!!! I was furious!
Mechanics! Don't do what it feels like! ASK FIRST!
How hard can that be ???
Anyway, they got me a new bumper cover, and did the swap in 2 days.
I guess I am 90% satisfied with the work.

I purchased a car through a local dealer, unfortunately they did not have the specific model I requested. So they did the dealer search and located a car in Chicago, IL. Two days later I get a call from a dealer regarding the arrival of my new A4. I had a smile on my face as I drove nto the parking lot looking at my baby from the rear and as I approached toward the front, there it was the ugly plate holder. I took it off right there to see if I could just cap it off but there were Four huge holes cut out for the plate. Long story short the Manager decided to replace the bumper and received a major apology from him. There is actually a dealership with customer service after all!!!
