Does anyone know where I can get pearl touch-up paint? Dealership says they don't have it.

Default I don't think they can sell it...something about mailing hazerdous materials....

I had called them about touch up paint a long time ago, and they said they couldn't mail touch up paint because it classifies as hazerdous material, or something like that.

Default OK... Just found some infor in archives... the dealer probably DOES have it.

From one post:

"Pearl White touch-up paint (code LB09) for the 1998 or 1998.5 is available, but if your dealer looks for it in his paint book under 98, he won't find it. Look under 1999; it's the same paint code. A small tube isn't available, so you'll have to order the spray can set, which includes the white base coat, pearl effect coat, and clear coat. It's about $23. When I went to pick mine up and found it wasn't the small tube, which is what I thought I was ordering, I whined a bit, so the dealer gave the set to me at wholesale for $18."

Another says, "Audi pn is #LOA9.01"

And another, "The part number for the Pearl White touch-up paint kit is LS-0PM-0B9. The word "Magnolia" is used to describe this shade of pearl white."

Good luck.

Default How successfull have people been, touching up Pearl White...experiences...pics?

I am planning on attempting to fix some rock chips in my hood and above my windsheild once the weather warms up. However, I hear pearl is very difficult to match. I would be interested to hear how well others have done. Any pics?

I have a '96 2.8 with the Pearl paint, and I was able to buy touch up paint at a local Audi dealer, but it seems 'thin'. It's kind of opaque, so it doesn't totally hide the chips the have gotten all the way through to metal. Good luck.

Default I have ordered pearl paint before from the dealer....you get them in 3 spray paint cans..

I have the same year car as you and same color. The paint doesn't really match, it seems a bit darker, I used it to paint my eyelids.
