I don't see it on their website, but I remember seeing it a while ago. It looks like a really cool program. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it.

Default Its MUCH better for datalogging.

You can log up to 40 parameters at ~14 samples/second (no slowdown).

It doesn't function as a general purpose scan tool like VAG-COM does though.

IMO, having both is key.

It says something about scanning codes... I don't have any experience with either of the products.

Yes, it can scan for and clear DTCs. Can't recode any modules or do any adaptions like VAG-COM.

Sweet. I kinda want it now! Do they still make/sell it? I don't see it on their website.

Default One other thing...

Since ECU Explorer reads directly from the ECU rather than over the VAG connection protocols (which is why its so fast), it requires a profile specific to the ECU that you are datalogging.

You have to check with APR and see if they have a profile for your ECU. Last I knew they handn't created any B5 A4 profiles, but that may have changed.

Default They still sell it but as I understand it they are revising the program so they don't list it on the

website.
