My AUDI dealer offerred to bundle an extended warranty with the financing about $1600 plus interest - not recommended that really gets expensive, The warranty was not directly with AUDI. I chose not to finance or take the extended warranty with the dealer. Of course your car has an AUDI warranty (AUDI Advantage) for the first 3 years or 50k miles). The problem with the third-party extended is that you are really paying double, since you usually have to sign up for extended usually within a year after buying a car to get a reasonable rate. For example, GEICO's extended bundled with their auto insurance coverage would cost on an A4 for 7 yrs or 100K coverage, about $6 a month, with a 200 deductible, payable in semi-annual installments - no interest. This is only available with them as long as the 00 model year is being produced. Other insurance companies would have similar plans. You can drop this coverage at any time.
