Default Does bilstein make control arms?

I just got a quote from an idie Audi only shop for a Bilstein kit + labor = $1,250. I couldn't find any information on this kit, but he said it includes all arms, tie rods, and alignment.

Any thoughts?

Default hmmm, 480, thats really cheap compared to the ECS kit.

He was probably talking about this kit, so the guy wants about $750 in labor.

Do you think it's worth it? For a first timer, how many hours/swear words it will take?

Thanks,
-Mike

Default the ECS kit is made by Meyle

Supposedly the Meyle kit is the one to get. I also have heard that the Febi kit is good also. We will see in time if it is really as good as the Meyle updated kit that ECS sells. Nobody seems to be able to answer that question...so I am sticking with Meyle until the answers are known.

Default It's not an easy job.

If you're on the east coast, or areas where rusting is a problem, it's particularly difficult as all the bolts are usually seized. It's not something I would normally recommend someone to do, unless they're intimately aware of exactly what's involved. It's not really easy, and if you get stuck in the middle it's not a good thing.

Remember that you'll need an alignment as well, so make sure they include that.
