Does the concert stereo have preamp outputs? (non bose)

Yes, the Concert head unit has preamp outputs. The non-bose system uses the rear preamp outputs to drive the rear speakers, which are self amplified. The amp for both rear speakers is attached to the driver's side rear speaker. The front speakers are driven from the amp that is internal to the Concert head unit and the front preamp outputs are not connected to anything. The connectors are not RCA. There are several multipin connectors that attach to the back of the Concert head unit and the preamp signals are in one of these connectors. If you slide the Concert out of the dash there is a label on the top which describes all the connections on the back of the unit. The preamp outputs are in a yellow connector block named "line out". On my car (98.5 1.8T) the pins for the right front and left front are not populated in the harness connector. If yours is the same, you will have to get pins from the dealer to insert in those locations.<p>
