My design is the type with the ball joint ends, but it seems like most bolt type replacements are shown to cover all years. I have a bad one on the RH side ,just starting to make noise and was searching ETKA and parts places. Also are the WRX rear links some people have used for the front on the B5 really any better? Also for anyone who was looking for F7LTCR plugs , I confirmed today that Bosch does supercede them now to a TWO electrode Silver . The only hope of getting the F7LTCR is finding old stock .

Default Through-bolt design replaced the ball-joint design which was found to be....

unsatisfactory. I replaced mine and it eliminated some clunking.

Default Outside companies are still making them . The local Advance store

has them still. I called my connection that I order parts through for the dealership and he wanted to know which design I wanted/needed. They even show them on the web site.

Default They are known to be an inferior design so I couldn't imagine WANTING to put them

on one's car. There are of course, masochists among us..............

Yes, that's the only way to go. The ball joint ones just wear out.
