Does it matter what kind of oil filter you use? Where can I get one under $26!!

Are oil filters snake oil?
I always use $2-3 filters like STP, Deutsch, ACDelco, etc... and have never had any problems (my previous car - '91 Legend had 125K miles when I sold it - ran like new!).
The only ones that I stay away from are Fram.
IMHO, as long as I change the oil every 3-5K or so, everything should be fine!

I doubt they'd say anything, but it probably depends on the dealer...
....and what brand of filter you use. I decided to go with the OEM filters for the "odd" oil changes on my S4 (15k, 25k, 35k, etc.) as the price of these in "bulk" isn't too bad.
